"Eyes should be washed to see things in a different way..."

Sohrab Sepehri (Persian: سهراب سپهری ) (October 7, 1928 - April 21 , 1980) was a notable modern Persian poet and a painter.

It was so exciting to see his paintings as close as possible for 1st time after so many years… This exhibit caused chance of public display for the first time for some unseen paintings.
I saw his paintings for the 1st time with this close distance, so I could see details, colors and "real" size of them.

"Let's be simple everywhere..."

His former & famous gravestone with below poem by him:
"...
If you are coming to see me,
Pray step gently, softly
Lest the thin shell of my loneliness
Should crack

..."

But it changed silently with above black gravestone and that disgusting Cell-phone number on it as shown below:

One of his favorite themes is demonstrating some tree boughs so close together, just "bough" not more… He has so many paintings contain this P.O.V. in different sizes and with different painting materials… Some believe the subjects of these paintings are those gardens in a village near Kashan titled "Golestaneh"…
But it's not so obvious what was in his creative and poetic mind… Some of them are "big" in size: 200cm*300cm or even 200cm*500cm.

"Wherever I am, let me be!
The Sky is mine.
The window, the mind, the air, love, earth, are all mine.
What does it matter
if mushrooms of nostalgia
grow from time to time?"
(Designed by Nikoo)
"The best thing to achieve is that look which is wet because of love incident."
